TaylorSense Support 

How to Install the TaylorSense App?

Overview:

First, ensure you have an internet connection, preferably WiFi, on your phone or tablet. Next, access the Apple App Store for iOS or the Google Play Store for Android and search for the “TaylorSense” app. Select the app and then allow app to finish installing. Once complete, select the TaylorSense icon from your home screen or app launcher and follow the on-screen prompts.

 

iOS:

  1. Download the TaylorSense app from the Apple App Store.
  2. Open the app.
  3. Allow TaylorSense to use Bluetooth.
    • If the user selects “Don’t Allow”, this will disable Bluetooth for the TaylorSense app independent of the normal iOS Bluetooth toggle in the control panel.
    • The user can re-enable this by opening the iPhone settings app and scrolling down until they see “TaylorSense”. Then they can tap on it and make sure that “Bluetooth” is enabled/allowed (toggled green).
  4. Log in or create an account to use the TaylorSense app.
  5. Allow TaylorSense to send you Notifications.
    • If the user selects “Don’t Allow”, this will disable notifications for the TaylorSense app.
    • The user can re-enable this by opening the iPhone settings app and scrolling down until they see “TaylorSense”. Then they can tap on it and then tap on “Notifications” and make sure “Allow Notifications” is enabled/allowed (toggled green).
  6. Tap the plus button or “Add Guitar” button, then scroll down and select “Link Now” to add your TaylorSense.

 

Android:

  1. Download the TaylorSense app from the Google Play Store.
  2. Open the app.
  3. Allow location permission by tapping “Allow in settings”, then selecting “Allow all the time” for the best reliability.
    • If the user selects another option, they may have issue linking or reliably connecting to their TaylorSense.
    • The user can change permissions by opening the Android settings app and searching for “TaylorSense”. After tapping on it, they can select “Permissions” and make sure “Location” is set to “Allow all the time”.
  4. Allow storage permission by selecting “Allow”.
    • If the user selects “Deny”, they can change this by opening the Android settings app and searching for “TaylorSense”. After tapping on it, they can select “Permissions” and make sure “Storage” or “Files and Media” is set to “Allow”.
  5. Disable battery optimizations for best performance by tapping “Continue”, then “Allow”.
    • If the user selects “Deny”, they can change this by opening the Android settings app and searching for “Battery Optimization”. Then the user can tap “Battery Optimization” and scroll down until they see “TaylorSense”. Then the user can change this to “Not optimized”.
  6. Log in or create an account to use the TaylorSense app.
  7. Tap the plus button or “Add Guitar” button, then scroll down and select “Link Now” to add your TaylorSense.
