Remove the battery cradle from the sensor, then take out the old battery and replace it with a new 9-volt battery. Ensure that the + and – are in the correct positions on the cradle and then replace the battery box into the sensor. The sensor should blink 4 times after replacing a new battery. If the sensor does not blink 4 times, try a new battery.
